A stay with Wigwam Holidays Glenlivet offers a unique opportunity to explore Scotland’s excellent skiing and snowsports facilities. The cosy glamping retreat shares its name with one of Scotland’s finest whiskies and is based just at the end of Main Street in Tomintoul, famous for being the highest village in the Highlands.

Tomintoul is a popular destination for many outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and skiing, due to its proximity to the Cairngorms mountain range. The village is also well known for its traditional stone-built architecture, with many original 18th and 19th-century buildings still in use today.

Skiing and snowboarding in the Cairngorms can be a great way to experience the Scottish Highlands in the winter. Due to the climate in Scotland, snowfall can be unpredictable, but fortunately, The Lecht Ski Centre enjoys fairly consistent snow so it’s a great option if you’re looking to book a weekend away skiing far in advance. The ski season in the Cairngorms usually runs from December to April, depending on the snow conditions.
