British artist Lucy de Roeper and F Zeen Retreat Kefalonia are partnering up to offer a unique Art & Fitness Retreat this October (22nd – 28th).Lucy’s multidisciplinary approach to art-making leads workshop attendees on a journey to create artwork from observation, memory and imagination. During each session, which can run from 2-3 hours, participants learn to draw and paint using pencils, charcoal, acrylic paint, watercolour and oil paint in a positive and open environment in which art can be created through self-discovery and without judgement.
Daily breakfast based on Hippocrates’ teachings,“let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” is included at the luxury retreat, which has been featured in Tatler and GQ Travel Guides, as well as access to the yoga and fitness schedule that includes morning hikes and meditation sessions. Retreat members benefit from daily afternoon painting sessions by artist Lucy de Roeper (at an additional cost).
Overlooking the serene bay of Lourdes in Southern Kefalonia, the F Zeen Retreat, described as ‘a haven surrounded by shades of blue and green, is an adult-only family-run wellness retreat embracing the slow life.
At F Zeen nature is the focal point: Buildings emerge as part of a landscape of tropical flora with carefully designed spaces amidst a Mediterranean pine forest. F Zeen means ‘The Good Life’, a concept that stems from the ancient Greek philosophy, adopting a lifestyle that focuses on the balanced connection of mind body and soul with the surrounding world.
