Savour the flavours of Scotland on a glorious new week-long culinary adventure in the Highlands & Islands (departing 1 May 2025) with Annie B who, though born and bred in Scotland, is best known for her programme of Spanish cookery holidays and food and wine tours.

Set to be an unforgettable journey for people’s taste buds, this new adventure will showcase the upsurge of incredible local produce in the Highlands & Islands, whether by participating in a Haggis workshop, attending a cheese farm tasting, or dining at the hands of some of Scotland’s shining culinary stars.

Beginning in the historic city of Edinburgh before heading north, guests will experience renowned Highland hospitality at three charming hotels, where every meal promises to be a celebration of Scotland’s best produce, whether exquisite fine dining, a cosy pub supper or a delightful picnic.  Annie– full name Annie Manson – will be joined by lifelong food buddy and farmer’s wife Sally Macdonald, whose local knowledge and connections have facilitated this exceptionally bespoke culinary tour.

Annie comments, “Although I’m based in Vejer de la Frontera in southern Spain, my heart is in my homeland of Scotland with May being one of the best months to visit, not least because it’s midge-free. While my adopted home of Vejer de la Frontera has Sherry, Scotland has whisky and the historic tie between the two endures to this day.”  The comfort for Annie of being in both places runs deep:  her family imported Sherry in casks from Jerez which they bottled; they then matured their malt in the empty casks.

Each day of the new tour promises to be different yet suitable for all, as nothing will be physically strenuous. Among the activities are: an artisan beer brewery visit, venison charcuterie tasting and talk, a seafood lunch, whisky and gin distillery visits, wine pairing dinner at rising star restaurant An Cala Ciùina, a salt farm visit, tour of Sally’s farm with lunch en route to Skye, lunch at Michelin-recommended Edinbane Lodge on Skye, and a culinary experience and lunch with dynamo chef-owner of Mhor 84, Tom Lewis, followed by live music.

Price:The Ultimate Taste of The Highlands & Islands of Scotland with Annie B’s Spanish Kitchen costs £4,360pp based on 2 sharing a room (or £4,968 single occupancy) including 7 nights’ B&B in Edinburgh, Mull, Skye and Lochearnhead in Perthshire, transportation between locations, guiding and activities.
