Nestled within the stylish Pan Pacific London hotel in the heart of the City, Straits Bar is an elegant, sophisticated spot for lunchtime catch-ups with colleagues, after-work drinks, or weekend tipples with friends overlooking glittering views of the capital from floor-to-ceiling windows.

This January, Pan Pacific London is upgrading their usual offering of over 150 carefully curated champagnes and champagne-based, Asian-inspired cocktails to mark Dry January in style with a brand-new selection of 12 taste tantalising Signature Mocktails, all priced at £12 each from Straits Bar.

Available from 1st January indefinitely and expertly created by Bar Manager, Alex Nieto, guests can expect spectacular creations that are 0% alcohol but every bit as delicious such as the Berry Sensation, a unique fruity yet smoky aromatic mix of alcohol-free Seedlip Spice with lemon juice, blackberry syrup, cranberry juice, and soda water; a Straits Kitchen Sangria, a reinvention of the much-loved classic made with Didier Goubet Organic Wine Grape Juice mixed with cranberry juice and topped with fresh mixed fruits and French Bloom; as well as the Guava Mary for those that want to spice things up filled with guava juice, lime juice, salt, fresh chili, mint, and celery.

Other non-alcoholic delights on the extensive new mocktail list include the refreshing and relaxing Moment of Zen, the perfect pick to enjoy following a day of rejuvenation on Pan Pacific London’s Wellbeing Floor made with Everleaf Mountain aperitif mixed with homemade grapefruit & honey syrup, lime juice and topped with grapefruit tonic water; the Exotic Sour comprising lulo juice – inspired by Bar Manager Alex Nieto’s grandmas homemade creations in Ecuador where lulo fruit originates –  as well as homemade sugar syrup and lime juice finished with fresh mint leaves.

There’s also the Bloom Spritz, a mocktail designed to mirror the classic crisp and citrusy French 75 cocktail served in a champagne glass with Lyre’s Italian Spritz, lemon juice, Oleo Saccharum, and French Bloom; a Not Negroni which closely mirrors the flavours of a classic negroni cocktail made with Everleaf Marine aperitif, Lyre’s Aperitif Rosso and Lyre’s Italian Spritz topped with rosemary, black olives, and tonic water. Paying homage to Straits Bar’s and Pan Pacific’s Southeast Asian roots, guests can also enjoy a refreshing Yezi mocktail inspired by the most famous and ‘humble’ ingredients found from earth in Asia, including a unique blend of Masala chai, pineapple, and cranberry juice, homemade rice, lychee and coconut syrup, coconut milk, lime juice, and sherry vinegar.
