Nipa Thai, a restaurant renowned for serving the most authentic Thai cuisine outside of Bangkok, has launched a brand new tantalising Khantoke menu for the new year.
Khantoke is a style of Thai family dining, where a selection of authentic family favourites are served on the Khantoke platter for all to enjoy. It originates from Northern Thailand and dates back to the 13th century.
Tucked away inside the Royal Lancaster London – an independent, 5* hotel overlooking Hyde Park, privately owned by Thai hoteliers, the Sihanatkathakul family, who bought it in 1994. Nipa means ‘shining light’ in Thai, and was originally a wedding anniversary present from Khun Jatuporn Sihanatkathakul to his beloved wife Khun Nipapat, after whom the restaurant is lovingly named. Nipa Thai proudly holds the Thai Select Award from the Thai Government for its authenticity.
Head Chef Sanguan Parr has led the all-female, all-Thai kitchen team for the last two decades. Chef Sanguan’s menus reflect authentic Thai cuisine, renowned for its finesse and delicacy in balancing the five essential flavours: sweet, sour, spicy, bitter, and salty. The experienced restaurant team, led by Restaurant Manager Kaseam Jongpitakrat for over 20 years, is on hand with their knowledge and experience to help diners pick the perfect dishes.
