With National BBQ Week (3rd June – 9th June) on the horizon, Cinnamon Kitchen City, the trailblazing modern Indian restaurant from Executive Chef Vivek Singh, celebrates the noble barbeque with two, sizzling hot BBQ weekend brunch menus.
Available Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 12pm – 4pm, diners can enjoy a nine-dish, Indian-inspired barbeque sharing feast cooked from the restaurant’s open grill, with front row seats to the live action, or enjoy on the all-weather covered alfresco terrace. Priced from £29pp with a bottomless option for an additional £19pp extra – cheers to that!
The BBQ brunch sharing feast begins with a classic samosa chaat; salmon akuri – masala scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and layered paratha with show-stopping dishes, such as the venison chapli kebab with smoked paprika raita; char-grilled sea bass in a lentil and coconut sauce, as well as Cinnamon’s famous dish of Welsh lamb Roganjosh, served with black lentils and pilau rice. A dessert of royal Punjabi malai kulfi, served with saffron and cardamom, provides the perfect ending to the barbecue banquet.
Sharing not your thing? Order individual BBQ brunch dishes from the restaurant’s A La Carte barbeque brunch menu, where mouth-watering dishes of lamb seekh kebab with coriander chutney and channa masala hummus; and grilled pink aubergine with peanut and mint labneh are served alongside classic British brunch dishes with an Indian twist. Highlights include chicken seekh kebab tawa masala with garlic chilli naan; masala omelette served with toasted brioche; and Anglo-Indian kedgeree served with smoked haddock and egg.
