The Humble Grape Wine School is back for the autumn/winter term
An award for drinking wine? Sign us up! Humble Grape is turning wine-loving into learning, and sippers
into scholars with the return of its popular Humble Grape Wine School. Far from the reserve of those
who are pursuing a career in the wine or hospitality industry, the renowned WSET Level 1 and 2
Awards in Wine, are for anyone curious about wine and keen to deepen their knowledge.
Across both the Level 1 and 2 courses, you’ll be sipping premium wines, and learning from some of
the best wine tutors in the biz who will ensure that education is expertly paired with enjoyment on
the journey to becoming a graduate of the grape.
Made up of three, two-hour evening sessions(6.30 pm-8.30 pm), with an exam taking place on the final
date, the WSET Level 1 Wine Award is designed to establish a strong introductory understanding of
wines through tasting a total of 9 premium wines from various regions. From learning about key grape
varieties and their characteristics, to discovering basic wine styles and how to serve them, this
the program will introduce you to different aromas, flavours, and textures, offering a glimpse into the
diverse world of wine styles.
Those ready to take things up a notch can enrol in the WSET Level 2 Course running 9 am-5 pm (with
lunch included) on three given dates with a final exam. The WSET Level 2 Award in Wine is designed
to provide you with a solid foundation in wine knowledge. From understanding grape varieties, styles
and winemaking techniques to exploring key wine regions, you’ll gain expertise that will elevate your
wine appreciation. An incredible, premium lineup of 45 wines from 11 different countries will open
up your senses while giving you a broad introduction to the many wine styles of the world.
Upon successful completion of either course, you’ll receive the prestigious WSET certificate,
recognised globally as a mark of your newfound wine knowledge!
