Moxy Hotels, is Marriott International’s experiential hotel brand. The first Moxy hotel to debut in an English city outside of London.
Located right in the city centre in Stonebow, the 118 guestroom property is perfect for travellers looking for a spirited, edgy hotel experience. The playful interiors have been themed around Knights and The Shambles in a nod to York’s iconic history.

Welcome #ATTHEMOXY – Moxy is famed for reflecting each hotel’s locality in its décor and Moxy York is different. Bringing the main characteristics of York’s history into the lobby, guests will find a contemporary interpretation of The Shambles. The Amsterdam Street Art Foundation selected two well-known street artists to create stunning pieces of art for Moxy York. A black and white portrait of a knight and a colourful mural with a stained glass theme give a real wow factor for guests and the perfect photo moment to share on social.
The hotel has its signature eclectic funky bar in a prime position that doubles as check-in. Moxy York also boasts a well-equipped gym, as well as co-working spaces aimed at tech-savvy travellers in the lobby complete with the latest technology and superfast Wi-Fi.
