The Stafford London, renowned for its timeless elegance and exceptional hospitality, will launch a sophisticated new afternoon tea on 31 July. The afternoon tea will be served from a brand-new bespoke cake trolley for an added sense of theatre and occasion, and to allow guests choice with their preferred cakes and pastries. The new recipes have been created collaboratively by Magdalena Velczenbach, The Stafford’s Head Pastry Chef, and Lisa Goodwin-Allen who oversees the menu direction at The Stafford as well as being Executive Chef of Michelin-starred Northcote in Lancashire.
To start, sandwiches and scones will be served on a traditional cake stand, alongside coffee or a selection of fine teas from Camelia’s Tea House. Delicate finger sandwiches will include H. Forman & Son smoked salmon with horseradish crème fraîche on granary bread and Honey roasted ham and mustard mayonnaise on onion bread, alongside a Truffle egg bun. Plain and fruit scones will be served with whipped clotted cream and strawberry jam, alongside a savoury delight: Westcombe Cheddar scone with soft cheese and chives.
Dedicated to continuous innovation and the highest standards of hospitality, The Stafford London is a luxury five-star, independently owned boutique hotel located in prestigious St James’s. From elegant surroundings of the finest quality to caring, highly personalized 24-hour service, The Stafford embodies a true “home away from home” for those who know and appreciate the best.
